Well, Janny has instructed Gramps to post the blog one more time so guess I had better do as I'm told. We had the distinct pleasure of spending the weekend with Cade, Megan and the girls. It was the first time I got to hold, feed and really get to know Madison and Mackenzie. I never did really understand what made Grandparents so proud and ready to tell you just how great their grandkids were - now I get it! WOW - what an experience! They already had Gramps wrapped around their little fingers but they sealed the deal!

The girls are doing great in every possible way. I think the 81 days in Neonatal ICU made them tough little "cookies!" The more noise the better as far as they are concerned. They seem to sleep better in noisey restaurants than the quietness of their room.

Speaking of sleep, nobody is getting much on a regular basis but catnaps save the day. Cade and Megan are great parents and are rapidly falling into a routine and will have the girls into their routine before you know it. It's great to see the joy on their tired and sleepless faces.

Madison and Mackenzie are truly miracle babies - having entered the world on July 30th instead of their scheduled arrival of October 31st. They overcame great odds and responded to the great medical care they received. We are truly blessed in America with the level of medical care that is available - let's not take it for granted.

I had better sign-off. Toys R Us is having a sale and Gramps needs to start stocking up on dolls, toys, books, tricyles, bicycles and a motorized Barbie car (make that two motorized Barbie cars) with a built-in CD player, GPS, computer, "hands free" Blue Tooth, and DVD player. The sad thing is the girls will immediately figure out how everything works and Gramps will still be trying to stop his VCR from blinking "12:00". Oh well, maybe they can teach me. After all, they will have my undivided attention.

And my final blog comment is just a simple Thank You to God for answering prayers and a Thank You to you for praying for these girls.
