Apologize that the blog hasn't been updated for a few days but Gramps was "indisposed" for a while. I certainly have more empathy for the girls even though I was poked and prodded only about 1/10th as much as they are.
Mackenzie and Madison are doing good. Mackenzie weighs 2lbs, 11 ounces and Madison weighs 2lbs, 12 ounces...the race is on!! The past week has been more steps forward than backwards - that's all we ask for. The doctor says the roller coaster ride will end in a couple of weeks.
Cade drove in last night after work - got there about 3:00 AM. He may have to go back early if San Angelo gets Hurricane Gustav refugees. Overheard Janny's conversation with him this morning, he and Megan are just going to take this day they do have, enjoy each other, enjoy Madison and Mackenzie and go to Babies-R-Us to find things for the grandparents to buy! Jan's immediate reply was, "I know where there are two in Houston, I'll call y'all when I get to the first one and we will go from there!" I feel a little faint...better go. I probably need to call Grandpa Kirk and warn him!

Thanks for the update...keep them coming when you can! This young family is in my prayers all the time, but I check this site often to see if there are any specific concerns or prayer needs!
