The doctor has been telling Cade and Megan that the "roller coaster" ride will end. I feel this is getting very close. They are taking out Mackenzies PIC Line (at one time I knew what this was but I do know it was crucial) today and when this happens, all they will have are feeding tubes and a little oxygen. And the doctor has written orders that Madison and Mackenzie each have Kangaroo Care for two hours each day. They will be placed in a pouch that will hold them close to Megan and/or Cade for one hour at a time and this is to happen two hours every day.
This had been done to some extent and the doctor had noticed when this happened, that their blood oxygen and blood gases levels were always much better afterward so he wants it to have a priority. Is that God at work or what? I don't think he got any arguments out of Mom and Dad - they can hardly wait to start.
I don't think I ever told you that Mackenzie through a little "hissey fit" a day or two ago. She was kicking, waving her arms, red in the face, heart rate up and Cade said you could hear her outside the incubator. The nurse checked on her and noticed that her little hat they wear to keep their heads warm had gotten down over her nose. The nurse repositioned the hat, turned her on her other side and Mackenzie immediately went to sleep. I think she is starting to get the hang of getting everyone's attention. It won't be the last time!
Oh yeah, Madison weighs 3 lbs, 2 ounces and Mackenzie was weighed in at 2 lbs, 15.9 ounces - that was yesterday so I am officially rounding up to 3 lbs plus for both of them!

Goodness, I am so happy these little ones are getting better everyday. You have alot of people that think of them always and pray for them constantly. I can't wait to meet Madison and Mackenzie in person one day.

It was so good to see the girls, oh yea and you guys too Meg and Cade! The girls are just so beautiful! I wanted to reach right in and give them a big ol' smooch! All of you are in our prayers. Soon this will all be over. Before you know it, they will be as big as Rhyann! We love and miss ya'll! God Bless, Jennifer & Baby Rhyann Verdeja
Janny - Could that fit have been one of those Kincaid-Overby-McCutchan fits that we heard about all those years ago when we were into fit throwing?
Sounds like great progress being made. Hang in there! These will be memories to value someday!
