Since San Antonio was on my way today, I just had to stop in to see the girls - actually it might not have been exactly "on my way" but what's a hundred extra miles!
Mackenzie is making progress. After taking her off of the ventilator on Tuesday, she had a rough night but last night was much better and today she seemed to be doing even better. The doctor changed her orders for checking her blood gasses (I have a hard time spelling medical terms) to every 12 hours from every 3 hours. I take this as a good sign. We are keeping the faith that she is making the "turn".
Madison, as usual, just keeps on doing well. She had a "digestion" problem but seems to be getting back to normal. I saw the neatest thing today. Megan got to hold Madison but instead of them wrapping Madison in blankets and a head cover to keep her warm, they put Madison inside of Megans shirt. I swear Madison kept cutting her eyes up to see her Momma. The old man had to make an excuse as to why he had to go - can't let nurses see you cry. Oh yeah, Mother was enjoying it immensely. Don't think she even knew when her father-in-law left.

Those girls are going to have Gramps wrapped around their little fingers. Prayers are going up daily for you all. Love you...Cherie
